I'm building a new PC and I'm trying to decide between sticking with an air cooler or going for an AIO (All-In-One) cooler. My setup includes an NZXT H5 Flow 2022 case, an MSI B550 Gaming Edge WiFi motherboard, 32GB of Trident Z Neo RAM, a Ryzen 9 5900X, and an Nvidia RTX 3070. I'm particularly interested in an air cooler that won't block my RAM, and I'd appreciate any suggestions for AIO options too!

Remember, an AIO is just another type of air cooler but more complex. If you're not worried about aesthetics, stick with a solid air cooler if your CPU has a low TDP. The Peerless Assassin is solid, and if RAM clearance is an issue, just raise the fan a bit. For AIO, check out the Montech Hyperflow—great performance without breaking the bank!
If you’re planning to add extra case fans when using an air cooler, you might as well consider a budget AIO. Thermalright has some good options that offer better cooling with less noise, plus they’re generally cost-effective.
You might want to check out the Peerless Assassin; it’s got plenty of cooling power and shouldn’t block your RAM. Just be sure it fits in your case!
Air coolers can perform better than some AIOs and they’re low maintenance. I’ve got a Noctua NH-D15 G2 on my rig, and it’s super quiet and keeps my CPU cool under load. Just a great choice for worry-free performance!
Most modern air coolers have notches for RAM clearance, so that shouldn't be a huge worry. Just make sure it fits your case dimensions!
I'd recommend going for an air cooler. I had an AIO that failed after a couple of years, and I really loved it at first. But honestly, the hassle isn't worth it. Air coolers are reliable!
Would that air cooler affect ram clearance?
