Hey everyone, I need some advice on upgrading my GPU since my old 3060 bit the dust. Over here, the RTX 5050 and the 4060 are priced the same, and I've seen benchmark videos showing their performance is pretty close. My current setup includes a Ryzen 5 5600 and 16GB of RAM. I mainly play games like Baldur's Gate 3 and Elden Ring, and I'm also considering VR gaming with the Quest 3. Which one do you think is the better option for me?

If both GPUs are the same price and perform similarly, I'd lean towards the RTX 4060. It tends to have better efficiency and might keep you set for longer in terms of future games. But if you can wait, maybe check reviews or wait for sales to see if the prices drop or if another option pops up!
Wat's your budget for the new GPU? That might help narrow things down a bit more. Sometimes not all graphics cards are equal in value, especially when considering performance per dollar!
You might want to explore the RX 9060XT too; I heard it can be a great alternative if it’s in your budget. Just make sure you check availability since prices can vary a lot. But between the 5050 and 4060, I’d say go with the 4060 if you can!
Yeah, didn't know there were other brands besides Nvidia! But seriously, the RX cards could be great options if you're open to them.
Good point! Also keep an eye on benchmarks for any game you plan to play, just to get an idea of performance at high settings.
