Hey everyone! I'm currently in my second year as an IT apprentice, and I've got a choice to make for my studies. My school offers a free LPIC-1 elective, which I can take in my second and third years (first part in year 2, second part in year 3). However, the LPIC course competes with the CCNA course, which starts in the third year. If I go for LPIC-1, I won't be able to enroll in the CCNA, but taking CCNA means I have to skip LPIC-1. I'm not really sure what direction I want my career to take after my apprenticeship, so I'm wondering—what would be better to help me in the job market: the LPIC-1 or the CCNA?

I've got both CCNA and LPIC-1 under my belt, and I can say that while LPIC-1 is great for knowledge, it doesn't have the same recognition as CCNA does. In terms of marketability, CCNA is definitely the way to go!
Which one would you say is harder?
In general, CCNA is recognized much more widely than LPIC-1. If you're looking to stand out in the job market, CCNA might give you a bigger edge.
Thanks a lot, that helps!
Thank you very much!
