Should I choose Ryzen 5 7600 or Ryzen 7 7700 for my gaming build?

Hey everyone! I'm in the process of building a new gaming system that I want to last for about 4-5 years without needing major upgrades. I'm planning to get 32GB of DDR RAM and an RX 7800 XT graphics card. The big question for me is whether to go with the Ryzen 5 7600 or the Ryzen 7 7700. The 7600 is €25 cheaper than the 7700 in my area. I'm curious if that extra €25 is worth it considering performance differences, or if I should just stick with the cheaper option since I'm trying to save where I can. Any advice?

Honestly, if you're tight on budget, the 7600 should still serve you well for a gaming setup, especially if you're coming from an outdated system. Just make sure whatever you choose aligns with your overall gaming needs!

If you're aiming for a strong future-proof option for the next 4-5 years, consider saving a bit more and opting for a different GPU like the RX 9070; just note it's €300 more than the 7800 XT in your market. It might be overkill for the moment, though.

You might want to consider the 9600X as it offers even better gaming performance and is around the same price as the 7600. But if you're set on the Ryzen 7 series, I'd say the 7700 is worth that extra €25 for the better long-term value.

I found myself in a similar spot and ended up choosing the Ryzen 7500F, which turned out to be a solid choice, especially with a dedicated GPU. If you're leaning towards the 7600, that's also a good pick!
