Should I Choose the 5070 or 9070 for My Next GPU?

I'm looking to upgrade my GPU from a 1080 Ti and I'm considering two options: the 5070 for €610 and the 9070 for €680. My current setup has a CPU of 5500, but I plan to upgrade to a 5700X3D soon. I primarily play games at a resolution of 2560x1080. Given that the 9070 has more VRAM, is that worth the extra cost for this resolution?

If you're into ray tracing, I'd recommend the 5070. It's built to handle that better, especially as games start to lean towards requiring ray tracing. But for your current resolution, 12GB is likely sufficient. If you plan to upgrade to a higher resolution later on, the 9070 might be a better long-term investment.

That’s a good point about future-proofing for higher resolutions!

At 2560x1080, 12GB of VRAM is more than enough for most games. You should be good with either card depending on your needs.
