Should I Choose the 5070 or 9070 XT for My Ryzen 7 5700X?

I'm trying to decide between the 5070 (non-Ti) and the 9070 XT graphics cards to pair with my AMD Ryzen 7 5700X processor. There's a $160 price difference favoring the 5070. My main concern is whether it's worth going with NVIDIA for its features, even though the 9070 XT offers better raw performance and more VRAM. Just to add, I mostly play story-driven games like The Witcher, Cyberpunk 2077, and some competitive games like Valorant, and I have a 1440p 360Hz OLED monitor.

If we’re talking power, the 9070 XT is closer to a 5070 Ti, and it's about 20% faster than the 5070. Unless you're set on saving that $160, the performance boost from the 9070 XT is likely worth it for your gaming.

If you're after that 4090-like performance without breaking the bank, NVIDIA is your go-to. Though I will say, if you're skewing towards single-player stories, the raw power of the 9070 XT might really shine through for you.

Going for the 9070 XT is a no-brainer. It has more VRAM and substantial performance advantages. You'd want to consider if those features from NVIDIA are essential to you. If you're primarily into story games, the 9070 XT will considerably enhance your experience.

The 9070 XT is definitely the stronger choice. It really comes down to the types of games you play and your preferred resolution, but in terms of raw power, the 9070 XT wins hands down.

For competitive games, I'd suggest NVIDIA for their Reflex and Pulse support, especially since VRR features are essential. But for AAA titles, the 9070 XT's 20% bump in performance might sway your decision.
