Should I choose the 5070 Ti or 9070 XT for long-term gaming?

I'm facing a tough decision between the 5070 Ti and the 9070 XT for my gaming PC. I recently bought a 5070 (non Ti) but I can return it with no hassle. Ideally, I want a GPU that will last me at least 5 years of comfortable 1440p gaming. While the 5070 is performing decently for me now, the fact that it comes with only 12GB of VRAM concerns me for the future. I see that the 9070 XT is quite appealing and currently selling for around $720, while a 5070 Ti (non-OC version) is priced at $750. I've considered the regular 9070, but given the small price difference with the XT, I feel it makes sense to explore the 9070 XT option. This is a significant purchase for me, so I'd really appreciate some seasoned advice on what to choose!

Honestly, if you're in the US, I've seen the 9070 XT going for as low as $600. At that price, it’s hard to recommend anything else. If you’re not locked into a specific budget, the 9070 XT might be the better choice for performance.

That’s a solid point! I didn’t realize the prices could vary that much.
