I'm almost done building my new PC, but I'm torn between going for the 5070 Ti and the 9070 XT. The 9070 XT is priced at £659, while the 5070 Ti is £740. I've heard arguments that my choice could be a mistake if I opt for the 9070 XT due to Nvidia's advanced features, but I'm hesitant because I've read about various driver problems with the 5070 Ti. What do you all think? Is the 5070 Ti worth the extra money right now?

I'd personally lean towards the 5070 Ti. It pulls less power while performing similarly in the FPS department, as I’ve seen in some benchmarks on YouTube.
I just installed a 5070 Ti after upgrading from a 4060, and it's performing beautifully at 5120x1440. It handles everything smoothly, even max settings on RDR2. I average around 90-120 FPS, and I think it will be solid even at 1080p!
That's cool! But just a heads up, you might get better performance from the 9070 XT, especially with an i5 processor like yours. Just saying, it can feel the driver overhead more than a higher-end CPU.
Honestly, it's a no-brainer to go with the 5070 Ti. The extra features are legit, and it’s overall a better choice if you plan on trying anything outside just gaming.
The 5070 Ti is only about 5% faster than the 9070 XT, but it comes with DLSS 4 and multiframe generation support, which is available in more games and tends to outperform FSR 3. If you're gaming a lot, that could definitely justify the £80 price difference for you.
I totally get that! But those driver issues I've read about with the 5070 Ti are kind of freaking me out. Are they really as bad as people say?
I built a PC just last week, and most feedback pointed towards the 5070 Ti as the superior option. The DLSS feature is pretty much a game-changer for many titles, and it made sense for me to choose that over the 9070 XT.
I did the same with my son! Upgrading from a 1080 Ti to the 5070 Ti was a huge upgrade. Totally happy with our choice!
But come on, driver issues should not be acceptable for a premium brand. They shouldn't take months to fix!
