I'm currently building my first PC and I'm caught between two graphics cards: the AMD 9070XT and the Nvidia 5070Ti. The 5070Ti is roughly 130€ more expensive, and I'm unsure if that extra cost is justified considering its improved features and better ray tracing and path tracing performance. I'm planning to pair either card with a CPU like the 7700 or 7600X, and my main use will be gaming, along with some AutoCAD and SolidWorks for university down the line.

The 5070Ti does have a slight edge in raster performance—about 4% better—and it's based on the same GPU architecture as the upcoming 5080. So, in theory, you could overclock it to perform like a lower-cost 5080. That makes it quite appealing if you don’t mind spending a bit more.
But remember, you can overclock the 9070XT too, and it might even outperform the 5080 with the right setup. Plus, overclocking the 9070XT doesn’t require extra tools, while the 5070Ti does.
