I'm upgrading my PC and trying to decide between the RTX 5070 and the RX 9070 XT. In the UK, the 9070 XT costs around £660 (~$880) while the 5070 is priced at about £500 (~$660). I've heard that the 9070 XT outperforms the 5070 significantly, but is it worth the extra cost? Money isn't a major issue for me, but I'd prefer to save if the performance difference isn't that substantial. For context, I'm coming from a 2070 super, so either option would be a big upgrade, and I'll be gaming at 1440p.

You might want to consider the 5070 Ti instead. It's slightly ahead of the 9070 XT in performance by a few percent, plus it has better upscaling and ray tracing for the same price. That could be a solid option.
Honestly, I'd go with the 9070 XT every time. It's a beast and perfect for 1440p gaming.
I hadn’t thought about that! It's only £70 extra, so I'm definitely open to it. Thanks for the suggestion!
