Hey everyone! I'm new to building PCs and I'm trying to decide between the Ryzen 5 5600X and the Ryzen 7 5700X processors. I'll be pairing it with an RTX 4060 GPU, which I got as a gift from a friend. The 5700X costs an additional $100 AUD compared to the 5600X. Is the performance increase worth that extra cost? I'm on a budget and mainly plan to play games like Monster Hunter World and the upcoming Final Fantasy titles. Appreciate any help!

I wouldn’t recommend sticking with the AM4 platform for a new build; it's basically a dead-end now. Instead, consider investing that budget into an AM5 setup with something like the 7500F or 7600. They outperform the 5700X at the same price or even lower.
Honestly, I'd go with the 5600 or 5600X, whatever’s cheaper. They'll get the job done without breaking the bank.
I have the 5700X paired with an RTX 4060, and honestly, it performs really well together. If you can stretch your budget, it might be worth it!
For sure, the 5600 non-X is a solid choice! The difference between the 5600 and the 5700X is minimal—around 4% according to some benchmarks like GamersNexus. Unless you’re doing a lot of productivity work, you won’t see much gain. Grab the 5600, throw in a decent cooler, and use Precision Boost Overdrive. It'll perform like the 5600X!
That’s what I keep hearing! The 5600 seems to fit my budget perfectly. But strangely enough, the 5600X is cheaper than the 5600 (non X) here in Australia right now.
