I'm thinking about upgrading from my Ryzen 5 3600 to either the Ryzen 7 5700X3D or the 5800X3D. I usually game at 1080p with mostly Medium settings and a few High settings. I'm not planning to change my resolution or quality settings anytime soon. The 5800X3D seems to offer about a 5–10% performance boost over the 5700X3D, but its price is almost double, ranging from 400 to 500 euros, compared to around 300 euros for the 5700X3D. Is the extra performance worth the higher cost? Looking for some thoughts before I make my decision!

Honestly, if you're only using a 3060, you won't really see much difference. The 5700X3D will definitely serve you well without breaking the bank.
The 5800X3D is sort of a collector's item now since it's been out of production. Don't get sucked into the inflated prices! The 5700X3D is still a solid option, especially if you can find it for around 300 euros. Just be cautious of the prices since they have climbed a lot recently.
It sounds like you've already thought it through! With the 3060 GPU, the performance difference will actually be minimal, so I’d lean towards the 5700X3D as the more practical choice.

Absolutely, the GPU will hold you back more than the CPU upgrade.
