Should I Choose Windows 10 or 11 for a Ryzen 5 5600 Gaming PC?

I'm currently using Windows 10 on a PC with a Ryzen 5 3600, RTX 3060 Ti, and 16GB of DDR4-3200 memory. I'm planning to upgrade the processor to a Ryzen 5 5600 and mainly play at 1080p, including Where Winds Meet, Wuthering Waves, Resident Evil, The Witcher 3, Skyrim, and similar single-player games. Is Windows 10 or Windows 11 the better choice for gaming performance, compatibility, and general reliability?

Before prioritizing the operating system, consider upgrading to 32GB of RAM when you can. Sixteen gigabytes still works, but newer games and multitasking can cause stutters or background-memory pressure. The Ryzen 5 5600 may improve minimum frame rates, but adding memory could make a more noticeable difference in some of your games.

I’d choose Windows 11 for a fresh install. The 5600 and RTX 3060 Ti are fully suitable for it, and you’ll avoid having to migrate later when Windows 10 support ends. You probably won’t see a dramatic frame-rate difference at 1080p, so security and future compatibility matter more than raw performance.
