I'm considering adding a second monitor for multitasking while gaming. My main focus is playing games at 1440p on high settings, and I'll likely use the second monitor for Discord and other apps. Would connecting the second monitor to my integrated GPU or my dedicated GPU be better in terms of performance? I'm curious about how it might affect my gaming experience. Here are my specs: Ryzen 7 7800X3D and 5070ti.

The performance difference should be minimal, possibly even unnoticeable. If you're usually running videos or streams on that second monitor, you might see a slight increase in GPU usage, maybe a percent or two. For me, the only thing that puts a noticeable load on my second display is something like Wallpaper Engine, but I set it to turn off when I'm gaming in fullscreen anyway.

I usually have something like a YouTube video playing too.
