I recently had to replace my motherboard and ended up going from an MSI B760 Tomahawk to a B760-P. I have a Peerless Assassin cooler that has two fans, but my new motherboard only has one CPU connector and a PUMP connector. They look identical, so I'm wondering if it's okay to connect one fan to each, or if I should do something different. Any advice?

It sounds like you could use a fan splitter instead of connecting each fan to a different header. That way, both fans will run at the same speed, which is usually better for cooling efficiency.
Thanks! I’ll look for a splitter.
If your cooler came with a fan splitter, definitely use that! It's the best approach. If not, you could connect one fan to the CPU header and the other to the PUMP header, but there’s a risk of increased noise and faster wear on the fans.
Yeah, running on the pump header all the time isn’t great for sounds and longevity, so if you can split them, do it!
You can connect both fans, but just remember: pump headers typically run at a constant speed, which isn’t ideal for fans since they should adjust with temperature changes. If you have other fan headers, that might be a better option.

Absolutely, a splitter is often the way to go. You want them synced up for optimal performance.
