Should I Focus on Upgrading My CPU or GPU for Gaming?

I'm planning to upgrade my gaming PC this year but I'm on a budget. My current setup includes an AMD Ryzen 3 2200G processor with Radeon Vega graphics and an NVIDIA GeForce GT 1030 GPU with 2 GB of memory. I'm trying to decide whether I should upgrade my CPU or my GPU to improve performance, especially since I want to play games like Marvel Rivals and No Man's Sky on Windows 10, but I'm experiencing a lot of lag even at low settings. Any advice would be appreciated!

It really depends on the games you want to play and the settings you're aiming for. What resolution are you gaming at, and what frame rate do you desire? Those details will help determine where your upgrade should go. Also, consider the power supply unit (PSU) you have, as that could limit your options.

I'm mostly playing at 1080p and just want decent framerates, like 30 or more, but it's been tough with my current setup.
