Should I Get a New Case for My GPU Upgrade?

I'm currently using a case that originally housed a GTX 1050 Ti and a Ryzen 5 2600. I've recently upgraded to a Ryzen 7 7800X3D and an RX 6600. Now, I'm considering an upgrade to either an RX 9070 XT or an RTX 5070 Ti. I'm curious if my current case will have enough airflow to handle the heat from these new GPUs. I can buy a new case along with the GPU and PSU, but that would delay my upgrade by a month. Should I wait for the new case, or is my existing one sufficient for now?

Heat is going to be your biggest concern here. If things get too toasty, you might consider running the case with the side or front panel off temporarily. Just keep an eye on the temps!

You can usually find the GPU dimensions in the product listings. Just compare them to your current case or grab a ruler to be sure!

As long as your case can accommodate the dimensions of the new GPUs, you should be fine. Just double-check the specs to see if it clears both length and height. If it fits, go for it!

As long as both GPUs fit, switching cases isn’t necessary. Your case has ample GPU clearance, and it sounds like it can handle it if the sizing is good.

Your current case has around 450mm GPU clearance, so the RX 9070 XT and RTX 5070 Ti should fit nicely. Just check their height as well! Both require a recommended 700w PSU, and their TDPs are around 300w, so you should be set there too! How is your airflow currently set up?

Right now, I don't have any intake fans. I'm just using a Thermalright Phantom Spirit for CPU cooling with a single exhaust fan in the back, so airflow might be limited.
