Hey everyone! I've got a chance to grab a Palit Jet Stream 4080 Super for £750, but I'm a bit hesitant. Should I hold out for the 5080, which costs about £200 more? I'm currently upgrading from a 3080 FE. What do you think? Is the 4080 Super a good deal, or should I wait for the 5080? Thanks!

That's a good point, but I've actually seen some 5070 Ti cards for £800 online right now.
Honestly, I think you should hold off. Your 3080 is still a solid card and can handle a lot.
If you care about PhysX, that might sway you toward the 4080. But if you’re mostly playing games like Flight Simulator and Battlefield, it might not matter as much.
Honestly, the 3 fps difference isn’t worth the upgrade to the 5080. If you’re doing productivity tasks, then sure, but the 50 series don’t work well with older PhysX games. Also, is the 4080 Super you're looking at new or used?
You'll likely need at least £400 extra to move up to the 5080. The 5070 Ti seems to start around the £1000 range, unfortunately. 😞
The 4080S is still a fantastic card! If the 5080 is just £200 more, it depends on whether you really need PhysX. If you don't think you’ll need it, the 4080S should serve you well for new games at 1440p.

The 4080 Super is used, and I’m looking at a price of £750 for it. A new Palit 5080 is around £950. I’d prefer to save £200 if the performance difference isn’t huge. What’s your take?
