Should I get the Ryzen 9 9950X or wait for the 9950X3D to go on sale?

Hey everyone! I'm pretty new to building PCs and I'm planning to get into it with one of the AMD Ryzen 9 processors. Right now, I'm looking at the Ryzen 9 9950X3D priced at $649.99, but I see that the Ryzen 9 9950X is going for $434 on a Prime Day deal. I mainly play games like Elden Ring and Dark Souls at 1080P. Should I snag the 9950X while it's on sale or hold out for the 9950X3D to drop in price? My goal is to keep the build around $1500, including 32GB of RAM and a 2TB solid-state drive. I'd love to hear any recommendations you might have!

You definitely want to consider your GPU budget. For a $1500 build, ideally, you should allocate about a third to half of that for the graphics card. If you’re focusing on gaming, I'd suggest looking into the 7800X3D or 9800X3D, as they're performance-wise a better fit and often cheaper than the 9950X series.

What graphics card would pair well with the 7800X3D or 9800X3D?
