Should I Install Games on SSD or HDD?

I'm trying to figure out the best way to manage my storage. Right now, I have a 512GB SSD and a 256GB HDD. All my files are currently on the SSD, but I'm running out of space. Should I put my operating system on the SSD and install games on the HDD, or is the other way around better? I mainly play less demanding games, with Ark: Survival Evolved being the most intensive one I play.

Honestly, who even uses a 256GB HDD nowadays? If you can, try to keep everything on the SSD since it’s so much faster. You might consider upgrading to a second SSD later!

Yeah, I’m planning to get another SSD soon.

You definitely want your operating system on the SSD. It'll boot up faster and launch applications in no time! You can install games you want to load quickly on the SSD and the others on the HDD.

Thanks for the info!

For sure, put Ark on the SSD. Games generally benefit from the faster load times there, and it makes a noticeable difference!

Thanks! That makes sense.
