I've been upgrading my PC by switching to an AMD CPU, specifically the 9800X3D. As you know, RAM prices and availability are all over the place right now, and I was on the lookout for a decent 32GB kit, ideally around 6000MHz CL30. A few days ago, I snagged a deal on a Kingston FURY 32GB 5200MT/s DDR5 CL40 kit during a flash sale. I jumped on it quickly, even though the specs were not ideal. Later, I discovered that it's not EXPO compatible as the store claimed. Now I'm torn—should I return the RAM or keep it for the time being since it's better than nothing while I wait for a better kit?

The lack of an EXPO profile isn't really a dealbreaker. Most AMD motherboards can still read XMP profiles. However, this RAM is on the slower side. It depends on whether you think the price you paid is worth the performance. It's up to you!

Oh, I didn’t realize XMP is compatible with AMD! I’ve been out of the loop for years. Thanks for clearing that up! The kit was only 124 Euros, which feels like a steal given the current RAM market. I’ve been hunting for deals for weeks!
