Should I Keep Using a Hard Drive with Bad Sectors?

Hey everyone! I have a hard drive that's about 10 years old and I suspect it has bad sectors. I've recently found some corrupted files but I'm thinking about just leaving them as is and filling the drive up with smaller files instead. I want to know if it's okay to keep using the drive without stressing about the bad sectors as long as I don't change or delete the corrupted files. I mainly use this drive for game mod files and other temporary stuff that's not super critical. Has anyone else experienced this? Is it common to get away with using a failing drive like this? Thanks a ton!

If you don't mind losing your data, you could keep using the drive until it completely fails, which might happen pretty quickly. But just know that's not the best practice. It's just a matter of time before it could fail completely!

I see your point. When you say 'fairly soon', have you had similar experiences with drives like this?
