I recently smashed my iPhone 16 Pro and now both the front and back screens are shattered. Fortunately, the motherboard seems to be fine, and I still receive notifications as long as it has battery life. I visited a repair shop that quoted me €400 for the repairs, and I've heard they do good work. Given the circumstances, do you think it's worth it to fix the phone, or is it time to just let it go?

It really comes down to what you want to do. If you're okay with fixing it despite the damage, go for it! Many people usually just replace the front screen because it's what we use most. For the back, you could cover it up with a skin. Just remember, if the camera's affected, that's a big deal too!
I'm really sorry to hear about your phone! Honestly, for €400, you could get a decent used phone or even a newer model for a bit more. If it were me, I'd think about not sinking more money into this one, especially since it's already broken. Just my two cents!
I appreciate your input! The issue is I checked with the company where I bought it, and they wanted €1200 for a new one, suggesting I just toss mine. Refurbs are around €500 and aren't even the current model. I’m in a tight spot financially.

Thanks for the advice! Yeah, you’re right about the camera being important. The back is messed up too, and I've actually been using the notifications on my smartwatch to stay connected. I really want to repair it mainly because I have important data I’d lose if I buy a new one.
