Hey everyone, I'm about to go on a 5-hour drive with my PC. I have a Hyte Y70 case and a Phantom 7900XTX graphics card that's vertically mounted. Do you think it's necessary to take out the GPU for the trip, or can I leave it as is?

You can never be too careful. Just take it out and put it in a bag or something to cover the slot. A sudden stop could damage it, and 5 minutes of packing could save you hundreds later.
If you're just driving normally, it should be fine. Just make sure the PC is secured and not sliding around too much.
During my last move, I removed my GPU just to be safe. It didn't take long, and I'm glad I did; the road got bumpy, and that could've caused some real damage.
If you still have the box your GPU came in, it’s a good idea to pack it in there. The PCIe slots can be delicate, and it’s better to be safe than sorry during the drive.
Honestly, it’ll take longer to read replies than to just pull it out. Just removing it could save you a lot of headaches, plus you’ll feel more at ease knowing it’s secure.
Absolutely, packing it safely minimizes the risk. With how much these cards cost, it's worth the extra effort.
