I just upgraded to a powerful 7800x3d and 5070 setup and I'm considering whether it's worth selling my previous gaming PC. Here are the specs:
- i7 9700F
- 2070 Super
- 32 GB RAM
- 1TB Sata SSD
- 800W PSU
Should I sell it whole or part it out? What's a fair price for it?

From what I can see, here's a rough breakdown of component prices:
- i7 9700F: around $80
- 2070 Super: about $150
- 32 GB RAM: approximately $110
- 1TB SSD: roughly $60
- 800W PSU: around $40
That puts you at around $440 if you sell everything separately. Just a note, though, some prices might have changed, especially since RAM can fluctuate pretty wildly.
It's interesting because I was rocking a similar setup not long ago, and it handled all my games on high settings just fine! I think you could definitely ask for a few hundred dollars since graphics cards are still pricey right now.
What's your target price?
You could sell it for around $300 and consider using that for an OLED monitor!
But keep in mind, the RAM alone is worth at least $300 these days!
That system is still solid for gaming, especially at 1080p. I'd suggest selling it whole rather than parting it out; there's still plenty of life left for someone looking to game without maxing out the budget.

I was thinking of around $300-400.
