Hey folks, I'm on the verge of purchasing the Zotac 5090 Amp Infinity but keep wrestling with the idea of going for the Astral or the Suprim, which cost an additional $1000. I've always stuck with Zotac cards in the past, but I'm really considering branching out. I've noticed in a review that the Zotac is the loudest card tested and tends to run hotter due to its smaller cooler compared to other high-end models. The Zotac is listed at $2956 here, while the Astral is at $4069, and the Suprim at $4125. Given those prices, would it be worth it to save up for the Astral or should I just go ahead and buy the Zotac Infinity?

Honestly, I don't think it's worth the extra $1000. You won't see a significant performance boost or much better cooling with the Astral. The only standout feature is its ability to monitor the power pins on the 12v-2x6 plug. If you're tech-savvy, you can set up alerts for abnormal power draw, which can prevent potential cable burns. But if you're just gaming, that feature might be too niche to justify the cost.
You're overthinking it! All these cards are pretty price-gouged right now. If saving up means months of putting your paychecks aside, none of them are really worth it unless they're essential for work. Spending $1000 more on the Astral isn't a good idea unless you have serious cash to splash without worrying.
Totally agree with you, just get the Zotac! The performance differences are going to be minimal, and honestly, these prices for GPUs are insane right now. You'd probably enjoy that $1000 more if you spent it on something else, honestly.
