I'm looking to upgrade my CPU, motherboard, and RAM, but the current prices for RAM are pretty daunting. I have 32GB of DDR4 RAM right now and I'm considering getting a 14th gen i7 with a motherboard that supports DDR4. Would using DDR4 hold me back significantly in gaming? Also, do you think RAM prices might drop soon? If I need to buy new RAM, I may have to settle for a slower CPU, which isn't ideal for my budget.

If you check out the performance comparison, DDR5 can be around 25% faster in gaming, depending on the title. So, while your current DDR4 isn't terrible, you might miss out on some performance. Think it over!

Wow, that’s a bigger difference than I expected! If I upgrade, it might make sense to go for DDR5 to really benefit.
