I'm thinking about upgrading my graphics card from a 4060 to either a 3080 or a 3080 Ti mainly for playing CS2. In my country, I can find a used 3080 for about $300 and a 3080 Ti for around $350-400. I'm experiencing FPS drops with my current setup and I don't want to compromise on graphics further. I enjoy playing with high MSAA settings, and I have an i5 14600kf processor, so I'm aware my GPU is the limiting factor here.

Before you make a decision, it might help to know what resolution you're playing at and what kind of FPS you're currently getting. It sounds like your current setup should be fine for CS2, but FPS drops can sometimes be due to other issues like overheating or insufficient RAM. Keep an eye on your temps and GPU utilization. It might not be a total loss with the 4060.
I have 16GB of RAM at 3600MHz, and my temps are good—CPU and GPU hover around 65-70 degrees. I play at a resolution of 1280x960 with 2x MSAA and all other settings on low. I'm usually getting 300-400 FPS, but during fights and with molotovs and smokes, it dips below my monitor's refresh rate of 280Hz. I really want to push it to 4x or 8x MSAA, which is why I'm looking to upgrade.
