Should I Upgrade from My 1080p Monitor to a Budget 1440p Model?

I've been using a premium LG UltraGear 27GN65R 1080p monitor for a while now, but I'm considering switching to a more affordable Lenovo Legion R27QE 1440p monitor. My PC can handle 2k resolution, and I'm eager to see if the upgrade is worth it since I've been stuck at 1080p for so long. Is it a good idea to make this move?

Why not just go for a dual display? You can keep your 1080p for other tasks and enjoy the 1440p for gaming.

Absolutely yes! It blows my mind that so many folks are still on 1080p. It feels outdated, and a 1440p or even 4K setup will make a huge difference for your gaming and work.

Honestly, I don’t understand what ‘premium’ means when talking about a 1080p monitor. Higher resolution typically means better quality, so why not just go for the 1440p? Specs are where the value is.

I wouldn’t do it. If you’re set on upgrading, consider saving up for a better 1440p model, ideally one with OLED technology for an even better experience.
