Should I upgrade from my RTX 4070Ti to a 5070Ti now?

I'm currently using an RTX 4070Ti and contemplating an upgrade to the 5070Ti mainly because of its increased VRAM. However, I've noticed the price for the 5070Ti has shot up from €750 to €850 in just one day, which makes the decision tougher for my budget. I can afford it, but the price hike makes me hesitate. Considering my current setup includes a Ryzen 9 7900x3D, 32GB of DDR5 RAM, and the 12GB of VRAM from the 4070Ti, is it wise to go ahead and make the upgrade? I prefer Nvidia since I use local AI tools that tend to work better than with AMD.

Jumping from a 4070Ti to a 5070Ti is just a sideways move that might not give you many benefits. I'd rather save for something like a 5080 or an 4080 Super later on. Keep your 4070Ti for now.

Just get the 4090 with 48GB if you're really looking for performance, but I agree that the 4070Ti is still performing well. Don’t fall into the trap of upgrading just because of price hikes.

Honestly, I think your current 4070Ti is solid enough for now. If I were you, I'd hold off for a better offer on the 5070Ti or wait for future releases.

Definitely go for it! The 5070Ti gives you near 4090 performance for €850, which sounds like a good deal for the future of AI tasks.

Upgrading for less than a 30% performance boost seems pretty unnecessary. Even if you consider the 5080, it might not be worth the hassle. I'd suggest waiting a bit longer for a better deal or for the next generation cards to come out.
