Should I Upgrade from RTX 3060 to RTX 5070 for Better Gaming Performance?

I got my PC in mid-2022 with a Ryzen 7 5800X and 32 GB of RAM. I'm currently using an RTX 3060 with a single fan and I mostly play FPS games like Rainbow Six Siege, Marvel Rivals, and GTA on a 165Hz monitor. I usually run my games on medium to low settings and I'm looking for a significant boost in fps. The RTX 5070 is priced at £500, and I'll likely need to upgrade my power supply for an additional £130. Is this upgrade worth it?

It's worth it if you're aiming for double the GPU performance. If you want even more power, though, you might look for something stronger. Just keep in mind that your CPU could bottleneck the 5070 in some situations.

Totally! Upgrading to the 5070 from a 3060 will give you a huge leap in performance, especially at 1440p. Expect a noticeable difference in your gaming experience.

I should've mentioned I play at 1080p, so I'm hoping for even more fps improvements!

By the way, I also play Helldivers a lot, and at 1080p on low settings, I hit a cap of about 75 fps due to stuttering. Would the 5070 significantly improve my fps?

I went from a 3060 to a 5070 Ti, and at 1080p, I improved from struggling to maintain 60-70 fps on medium settings to a consistent 120 fps on ultra, which is a big difference! So yeah, you’ll definitely see a nice fps boost!

I thought about upgrading as well since I have a similar setup but decided against it. At 1080p, I'm still getting decent performance. If you want to max out settings though, then the 5070 is a solid choice. You could even trade in your 3060 for a discount.

I've seen a two-fan 5070 being sold for cheaper. Are two fans good in terms of cooling?
