Should I Upgrade from Ryzen 7 5700X3D to Ryzen 9 5950X for Multibox Gaming?

I'm diving into multibox gaming and currently using a Ryzen 7 5700X3D. I'm considering whether to upgrade to a Ryzen 9 5950X or the XT version. Should I also bump up my RAM from 32GB to 64GB with this upgrade? How noticeable would the performance difference be? Or should I focus on upgrading my GPU (I have an RTX 3060 Ti) instead? I'm not super knowledgeable about all this, so I'd appreciate any thoughts!

It’s all about what’s limiting you right now. The Ryzen 9 is definitely more powerful, but if your current setup is already struggling under the load, then an upgrade makes sense. And don’t forget, adding more RAM can help if you’re close to maxing out your current memory. Each upgrade should be tailored to what you need most right now.

It really comes down to whether you're maxing out your current CPU with multiboxing. If your Ryzen 7 is running at full capacity while you're gaming, then upgrading to the Ryzen 9 5950X could give you a significant boost. But if it's not pushing 100%, it's probably not worth it just yet. Pay attention to your RAM usage too—if you're around 90% capacity, then boosting to 64GB is a good idea. For the GPU, check if you’re running out of VRAM; if not, you might be okay sticking with your 3060 Ti for now.

According to my task manager, when I run around 30 clients, my CPU is constantly at 100% and hitting about 77°C, while my GPU is also nearly maxed out, even though I'm playing a pretty old game with lower graphics settings. My RAM sits at around 40% usage though.

If your goal is to maintain acceptable performance while running multiple clients, then yes, the 5950X is definitely a solid upgrade. Just keep in mind that the performance can depend a lot on the specific games you're playing, so it's important to consider that alongside the hardware upgrade.
