I've got two motherboards on hand: a Gigabyte Z370 Aorus Ultra Gaming 2.0 and an MSI Z390 Gaming Edge, along with a non-overclockable i9-9900 CPU. Right now, I'm gaming with the Z370 board, mainly playing titles like Age of Empires and CS:GO. I'm curious if switching to the Z390 would actually make any difference in performance? Is it worth the hassle of swapping them out, or should I just stick with my Z370? My setup also includes an NZXT H500 case and a Cooler Master Hyper 212 cooler.

Upgrading just for the sake of it isn't a good idea. If you're not encountering any limitations with the Z370, stick to it unless you really need something the Z390 offers. Most users won’t see a performance difference for gaming.
Honestly, I don't think it's worth it. Even if you switch to the Z390, the performance boost for your non-K i9-9900 will be minimal, especially for the games you play. You might not even notice a difference!
Yeah, I agree! Unless you need extra USB ports or some specific features from the Z390, I say stick with the Z370.
Nah, save your cash! Unless you face compatibility issues or need features the Z390 has, stay with what you have. It’s just not a smart upgrade for your setup.
Exactly! And if you've already got the Z370, there's no point in spending more money.
