I'm considering a system upgrade for $378 that includes a Ryzen 9 9800X3D, a Gigabyte X870 Gaming X Wifi 7 motherboard, and an Acer Predator Vesta II memory kit. Currently, I have a 13600K build, and I'm wondering if this upgrade is worth it or if I'm just wasting my money.

Honestly, it's worth it even just to flip the hardware down the line. You could make a good chunk of your money back by selling your 13600K setup later on. Plus, moving to AM5 like this means more upgrade paths in the future. The 9800X3D should keep up well for quite a while in gaming.

It really depends on your setup. If you're gaming at 1080p, it might not be necessary, but for 1440p, it could provide a boost. At 4K, though, I’d say definitely go for it! Just keep in mind your GPU might also affect performance. If you’ve got a solid one like the RTX 5080, you're in a good spot. By the way, if you're mostly using DLSS, that could change the game too!

I usually game at 4K with DLSS as well, so I'm curious how the CPU will affect my frame rates.

Yeah, that deal is hard to pass up! The 13600K is a solid CPU, but for the price, it seems worth it to upgrade.

Honestly, that deal for $378 is insane! It's a great price for those components.
