I'm trying to figure out whether to upgrade my Ryzen 5 5600G or my GTX 1660 Ti first. I can either get a Ryzen 9 5900X or a Radeon 9060 XT with 16 GB of VRAM. I mainly game at 1080p, focusing on shooters. Which upgrade would give me the best frame rates?

A good way to decide is by checking the GPU utilization while you game. If your GPU is maxed out, then upgrading it should be your priority. If it’s not, you might want to look at a CPU upgrade instead. Just a heads up, the 5900X might not be worth the investment for gaming compared to something like a 5700X or 5800X/T.
