Should I Upgrade My CPU or GPU for CS2?

I have a build with an AMD Ryzen 5 7600X CPU, MSI B650 GAMING PLUS WIFI ATX AM5 motherboard, 32 GB DDR5-6000 CL30 RAM, and a Geforce RTX 2070 SUPER GPU. Lately, I've been experiencing low FPS in certain situations while playing CS2. If I decide to upgrade, should I prioritize upgrading my CPU or GPU? Also, what specific model would you recommend? Thanks in advance for the help!

I think your CPU is doing just fine. The GPU seems to be where the bottleneck is. Upgrading to an RTX 5070 or an RX 9060 XT would really help boost your performance. The X3D CPUs provide a minor improvement, but your main issue is the GPU.

That makes sense! If I were to get a GPU, which one would be the best value?

Honestly, going for the X3D series might be your best bet for a CPU if you want to stick with AMD. But it's all about how much you want to spend. The GPU upgrade is what you need to focus on first, though.

Is the X3D really worth it compared to just getting a new GPU?
