I've got a Ryzen 3700 CPU paired with an RTX 3080 and 32GB of RAM. I'm torn between upgrading to a 5800XT or a 5700X for my CPU, especially since the X3D models are super pricey second-hand. Another option would be to invest over $800 in a new AM5 X3D CPU, a new motherboard, and additional RAM. On the flip side, I could just keep my current setup as is. I mainly play Marvel Rivals and Fortnite, along with the occasional AAA title. I want to know if the upgrade is worth it in terms of performance improvement or if I should simply hold off.

If you're looking for a solid upgrade without breaking the bank, the 5700X runs cooler and offers performance that's pretty close to what you have now. That's definitely the route I would suggest!
Honestly, ask yourself if there's anything you're playing that truly needs more power. If you can't think of any titles, then maybe you're good as is! Also, don't forget about Intel options like the 13700 or 14700, which can work with DDR4 if you choose the right motherboard.

I actually forgot about Intel! How do those CPUs stack up against a 5800X3D? I haven't kept up with Intel's lineup lately.
