I'm considering an upgrade to my CPU setup. Currently, I've got a Ryzen 7 7700X paired with a 9070XT. While my current CPU is performing well without any issues, I'm looking at switching to an X3D model. I'm debating between the 7800X3D and the 9800X3D. Any advice on which would be the best choice?

Upgrading really depends on whether you feel you're not hitting the FPS you want. The X3D CPUs are solid, but consider the pricing. Selling your 7700X could help with the costs too.
In my opinion, the 9800X3D feels overpriced. If you're set on upgrading, stick with the 7800X3D.
If you’re leaning towards upgrading, I'd recommend the 7800X3D. It should give you a good boost for gaming without breaking the bank.
If your main focus is gaming at lower settings, don't expect much of an increase in FPS. If you're aiming for more than that, maybe consider your options carefully.
For pure gaming, even the 7500X3D is a solid choice. Six cores are still plenty, especially with good speed.

Price isn't a problem for me since I plan to sell my current CPU to a friend for $200. I haven't had any low FPS issues, but I'm excited for the upcoming Forza Horizon 6 and want to max out ray tracing.
