I don't need the highest settings for every game, but I'd like to take full advantage of my 1440p monitor for all the games I play, not just competitive ones. My main aim is to play Path of Exile 2 without suffering through 12 FPS and I think 1080p should be fine for that. I'm wondering if I should just upgrade my GPU to something like an RX 7800 and then look to upgrade my CPU later, or if I should hold off and upgrade everything at once. Will upgrading just the GPU help enough, or is it better to wait?
