I'm currently using an RTX 3080 alongside an i7 10700k, and I play games on a 4K multi-monitor setup. I'm considering whether it's better to upgrade my GPU or CPU. Given my situation, would opting for a 5070 Ti be a worthwhile upgrade, especially for 4K gaming?

There’s a good chance that a GPU upgrade will give you a better performance boost than upgrading your CPU right now. Most of the time at 4K, you’ll hit a GPU bottleneck, which makes upgrading the graphics card a smart move. The 5070 Ti could be worth it, especially if you're playing more GPU-intensive games. Just keep in mind it'll all depend on the games you play and your settings.

That makes sense! Do you think the 5070 Ti is a significant step up from the 3080?

Totally agree! The specs and price of the 5070 Ti seem pretty reasonable.

Upgrading the GPU is a good choice, but if you're aiming for really high frame rates, you might want to think about upgrading your CPU too. It really depends on the specific games you’re playing and the settings you’re using.

I’m running a 4K display with 120fps and I find that many competitive games can handle that frame rate pretty smoothly now.
