I've got a laptop with an Intel Core i5-11400H and 8GB of RAM. Lately, I've noticed it's been running slower, especially during gaming sessions. I've heard a lot of people recommending an upgrade, but I'm not entirely sure if it's necessary. What are your thoughts on moving to a higher RAM capacity?

Make sure to check your RAM usage first. If it rarely hits 100%, upgrading might not make a huge difference. But if you're also noticing general slow-downs, cleaning your fans or checking your SSD could also help before you decide to upgrade.

Good point! Keeping the system clean can sometimes solve the speed issues without needing a RAM upgrade.

If you're using your laptop for gaming, I would strongly suggest upgrading to at least 16GB of RAM, if not 32GB. 8GB really feels like the bare minimum for gaming these days. More RAM can improve your experience significantly, especially with newer games.

Yeah, I completely agree! Upgrading RAM can really help with loading times and performance in games.

It’s worth considering that 8GB is kind of low for Windows 11, especially with all the applications we run nowadays. If it's a laptop, maxing it out might be the best route to ensure smooth performance.
