Should I Upgrade My Motherboard for the Ryzen 7800X3D?

I recently bought a Ryzen 7800X3D along with an MSI Gaming Pro B850 WiFi 6E board for $150. I assumed all B850 motherboards would support PCIe 5.0 and WiFi 7, but this one does not. Should I return it for a more recent model and spend an additional $60 to $100, or is the difference minimal enough that I can keep this one?

As for VRM quality, it really depends on how long you plan to keep the board. If you're hoping to upgrade to something like a 10800X3D in a few years, make sure the VRMs are robust enough to handle future CPUs. PCIe 5.0 won't be a big deal right now, but it could matter down the line.

Upgrading to a newer board might give you some extra features, but it might not be worth the hassle, especially if the performance difference is minimal. The benefits are more noticeable if you're using high-end GPUs like the RX 6000 series. I'd say stick with what you have unless you're planning major upgrades soon.
