Should I Upgrade My PC or Build a New One?

I've had my PC for 6 years, originally purchased from CyberPowerPC, and it's starting to lag with demanding games like The Finals and Call of Duty. I'm not super knowledgeable about PCs but have always dreamed of building my own. Given the current high prices in the market, I'm concerned about the potential costs of building one and the risk of messing something up. Should I look at upgrading my current setup, or would it be better to build a completely new PC? Here are my current specs:

- CPU: AMD Ryzen 3 2300X Quad-Core (4 Cores)
- GPU: Radeon RX 570 series
- Motherboard: ASRock A320M/AC
- RAM: 32 GB DDR4
- SSD: 1TB
- PSU Brand: Unknown

Also, I'm not sure if this type of question is appropriate, so apologies if it isn't!

Upgrading your motherboard along with the CPU and GPU is a smart route. Since you’re on the AM4 platform, there are guides available online to help you out. Just make sure to check compatibility with your new parts when selecting components!

Don't stress about the build process! Lots of resources like YouTube can guide you through it. Building something fresh can often be easier than upgrading—especially if you're worried about compatibility issues with components.

I suggest focusing on upgrading your CPU and GPU for the best performance boost. If you might need a new power supply, keep that in mind as well. Your RAM is solid, and your storage is good too. Your motherboard is a bit basic, which might limit your upgrade options, so consider that if you want to pair it with a high-end CPU. If you share your budget, I can help recommend specific parts!

Definitely worth considering an upgrade! You could look at getting a better CPU, like the 5800XT, and a new GPU, maybe a 9060XT with 16GB. No need to change too much else, but do check your RAM's speed as that might help your performance too.
