My laptop, a Flex 5-14ARE05 (ideapad) Type 81X2, got bricked after a BIOS update. I'm looking for advice on safely moving the SSD to a different laptop model since I'm having a hard time finding the same model for recovery. I'd like to know the best way to transfer the SSD, whether I can use it as a boot drive, or if I should clone it instead. If you need specific information about the SSD, let me know what details would be helpful. Thanks!

First off, do you want to keep your old SSD as a boot drive or just need access to your files? If you're aiming to boot from it, that could complicate things compared to just using it for file access.
I'd recommend getting a new laptop that's not the same model. Once it arrives, you can transfer your important files from the old SSD to the new one. If you want to keep everything exactly as it was, cloning your old SSD to the new laptop's drive is the way to go. But before you purchase a new laptop, are you completely sure your old one is bricked?
Yeah, I'm sure. I’ve talked to a few people about it, and they all confirmed it's bricked. How would I go about cloning? I've heard that's safer than just using the old SSD directly.

Hi! Could you explain what you mean a bit more? I'm a little lost.
