Should I Upgrade My PC or Go for a Rebuild?

I'm trying to decide whether to upgrade my current build or completely rebuild it. My rig mostly handles casual gaming at 1440p, maintaining a stable 60+ fps. The only hiccups I face are with modded Minecraft (especially with shaders) and Cyberpunk 2077. For reference, you can check my current setup (aside from RAM and case fans). I'm budget-conscious and open to buying used parts for the best value. I'm thinking about getting either an i7-10700k or an i7-11700k bundle. Along with that, I would like to add a Peerless Assassin 120 cooler and a power supply (either 750W or 850W) to accommodate a future GPU upgrade. Right now, I have a 3070 Ti FE that I got for a steal at $220, but I'm hesitant to keep it if my power supply isn't sufficient. Alternatively, I've considered an AMD Ryzen 5 9600X bundle, but it also requires a better PSU. I'm not after the latest tech; I just want something that can handle big modpacks and run Cyberpunk 2077 better.

As someone who's been running an i7-11700k for a couple of years, I'd suggest looking at the i5-12600k. It has more cores and delivers way better performance, almost no bottleneck. For about $100 more, you can grab a solid setup that’ll last you a while. Plus, adding a decent AIO cooler might help with temps if you're overclocking.

I appreciate the advice! Why do you recommend an AIO cooler? I've always preferred air coolers since they're less likely to fail. Just curious!

Honestly, the 10700K and 11700K aren’t super fast enough to justify sticking with the LGA1200 platform. If you're considering a rebuild, check out the 7700X or 7600X3D bundles instead; they're better value for the performance you'd get. And if you're worried about the power supply, a 550W should be enough for a stock 3070 Ti and either of those Ryzen options.

If 550W is enough, I might lean towards the Ryzen 7 7700X. It’s about $400 after tax, plus I could sell my old parts for some cash back. Any idea how much I could get for my CPU and RAM?
