Should I Upgrade My R5 5600G Stock Cooler for Better Temps?

I've been using an R5 5600G with the stock cooler for about two years now. Recently, I've noticed that the temperatures are hitting really high levels under stress, sometimes reaching 95 or even 98 degrees, depending on the load. These temps aren't great, so I'm considering upgrading to an AIO cooler. Are AIOs really worth the investment for temperature drops, or should I stick with an air cooler? If I do go for an AIO, what are some budget options available in India?

Before you jump to a new cooler, have you thought about replacing the thermal paste? I had a similar issue with my 3400G and didn't realize how hot it was running until I started monitoring it. The stock cooler is pretty decent for most, but with a dedicated GPU like your new 3060, upgrading the cooler is definitely a good idea.

Have you checked out the Thermalright Peerless Assassin or Phantom Spirit? They're available in India, and my temps dropped from over 80 to below 55 with the Peerless Assassin. Plus, they come with decent thermal paste, which is a bonus!

I was considering the Thermalright Assassin Evo Dark. Is it any good?

I've seen those here too, but I also have a 240mm AIO from eSports. I'm not sure how they compare performance-wise, but I do love the look of an AIO in my setup.

Honestly, a dual-fan tower cooler will do just fine. Water cooling setups have a risk of breaking down eventually and might not be the safest option. Just make sure to remove the protective film before installing! XD

I only started having issues with my stock cooler during the summer when things got too hot. While replacing thermal paste helped, I opted for an upgrade. I went with a Thermalright AXP-X47 cooler, and it's made a huge difference in my temps—definitely worth it!
