I'm currently using a Ryzen 7 8700F on an MSI B650 board with WiFi, paired with an RTX 5070 that has 12GB of VRAM, and I have 16GB of RAM. Everything's operating on a 1080p 180Hz monitor right now. I'm considering whether to invest $400 in a new 1440p OLED monitor with a refresh rate of 240Hz or spend about $550 to upgrade to 32GB of RAM, selling my current RAM for around $100 to $125 to help offset the cost. Given the crazy prices lately, I might actually get more for my RAM if I sell it. What would you guys suggest?

I'd totally recommend going for the monitor upgrade. It’s going to significantly enhance your gaming and viewing experience, especially with those higher resolutions and refresh rates!
Definitely pick the monitor and don’t even think twice. Unless you have very specific needs, like running demanding applications, the RAM upgrade won't change much for gaming. Just enjoy the new screen!
That's true! I might need the extra RAM down the line for school projects, but I can access resources at my school for those 3D modeling tasks.
Hey, where are you located?
Not suspicious at all, haha! I’m in LA.
Go for the OLED! The color and depth you get from that type of monitor are worth the investment. Plus, a higher resolution will really shine with your setup!

I agree, it seems like the best choice! I’d definitely see a difference and feel satisfied with that upgrade.
