Should I Upgrade to a 5090 RTX or Wait for the 6090?

I'm currently using an RTX 4060 and I'm really torn between upgrading to a 5090 RTX so I can finally enjoy gaming in 4K with high frames per second, especially when playing on my PS5. However, I'm not in a huge rush. I'm wondering if it might be smarter to wait for the 6090 instead of spending a lot of money now on a card that might not be the best choice. I would love some advice to help me decide!

Before jumping from a 4060 to something like a 5090, it’s important to think about the rest of your setup. Nvidia suggests having at least a 1000W power supply for a 5090, with many users recommending even more—like 1200-1500W. Also, what CPU do you have? The CPU can really impact performance and power draw. Plus, if you're mostly gaming on a PS5, I’m curious why you need a high-end PC card? Also, keep in mind that the 6090 isn’t confirmed yet, and even if it comes out, it’s likely to be expensive. Sometimes it’s just better to make a purchase if you can afford it rather than waiting indefinitely.

Here are my specs: Kingston FURY 32GB DDR5, RTX 4060, Intel Core i5-14600KF. I got this pre-built rig two years ago for around $1.4k, and honestly, I’m frustrated that it can’t match the PS5 for games like FF VII Rebirth. Paying for a high-end card makes me uneasy, but I'm considering financing it.
