I'm looking to upgrade my current setup, which includes an RX 6600 XT and a Ryzen 5 3600 6-core processor, along with an ASRock B450M-HDV R4.0 motherboard. My budget is around £500, and I'm hoping to get ready for GTA 6 when it comes out on PC. Is it worth upgrading now, or should I hold off for a while?

Honestly, I’d recommend waiting to see how GTA 6 performs once it launches. You’ll get a better idea of what hardware you actually need after the benchmarks come out. Just keep saving in the meantime!
You can actually get a Ryzen 5 5600 and a Radeon RX 9060 XT 16GB for just under £500. But again, if you’re not in a rush, waiting for RAM prices to drop and going with AM5 could be worth it in the long run.
If you want to upgrade your system without jumping to an expensive AM5 setup, consider the 5800XT. It’s getting pricier and could be hard to find soon. Plus, by the time GTA 6 releases, you might have access to even better GPUs that would work with your motherboard.
Honestly, just wait until around 2027/2028 when GTA 6 finally hits PC. That's when you should think about upgrading.
If you don’t need a new setup immediately, you might want to wait a couple of years. Prices and performance will likely improve by then, especially when we know more about the game.

For sure, it sounds like the smart move. After all, the game's still over a year away!
