I'm currently running on an AM4 setup and considering an upgrade. I mostly game at a resolution of 3440x1440 on an ultrawide monitor, and I'd like to also enjoy gaming on my 4K TV with decent frame rates. I'm looking at a Radeon RX 9070XT priced at $780 AUD (about $550 USD). My concern is whether my current build will limit the performance of this new GPU since I'd prefer not to do a complete overhaul. Here are my current specs: GPU: Radeon 6750 XT, CPU: Ryzen 5 5600X, Motherboard: ROG Strix X570-E, RAM: 32GB DDR4 3200MHz, Storage: 1TB NVME, 2TB NVME. I built this system in 2022, and while it performs adequately now, I worry it won't handle newer games like BG3 or Jedi Survivor well. Ideally, I want to hit at least 60 fps on high settings. So, my main questions are: Should I go ahead and buy the 9070XT? And if so, would upgrading to AM5 be necessary to make the most of it?

Definitely get the 9070XT! It's a fantastic deal, and while your 5600X will limit you somewhat, it's not going to be terrible for gaming at 1440p. Just remember, you can always upgrade the CPU later if you find it's bottlenecking your system. Also, you won't really need to rush to AM5 just yet.
I agree with the others—grab the 9070XT, and let's see how it performs. Your 5600X isn't a disaster, especially for most titles at 1440p. If down the line you notice performance drops in demanding titles, you can consider an upgrade, but for now, the GPU will be a significant improvement.
The 9070XT is better suited for your needs than the 6750XT, especially if you want to hit good performance in 4K. Just get the GPU for now, and if you notice you're not hitting good frame rates during gaming, you can think about upgrading the CPU later. The 5600X should still hold up decently for your current gaming habits.
Upgrading to the 9070XT sounds like a no-brainer, especially at that price. The CPU will matter a bit less at higher resolutions like 1440p or 4K. Your setup should be fine, but keep an eye on your FPS. If you start to notice bottlenecks, upgrading to AM5 could be an option when prices settle down.
Honestly, it sounds like a good move to grab the 9070XT. Your current CPU might hold things back a little, but you'll still see a solid boost in performance without having to upgrade everything at once. Just see how the GPU performs first!
